Dr. DeRosimo’s Education and Accomplishments

Since 1989, Dr. Lisa DeRosimo has concentrated her education and practice on bariatrics, the study of the causes, treatment, and prevention of obesity. She has been assisting patients in South Carolina to overcome their weight loss struggles for the past 2½ years.

Dr. DeRosimo is one of approximately 300 physicians in the United States who are currently Board Certified by the American Board of Bariatric Medicine and one of only eight in South Carolina. She is well-respected among her peers as a leader in her field and the elected Chair of the American Board of Bariatric Medicine.
